Parents with ChildMontana State University Extension is piloting Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness for Children:  Storybook Program for parents.

This program provides materials for parents/guardians, teens, aunts, uncles, or grandparents who want to help young children develop an understanding about Alzheimer's disease.

Anyone who knows someone with Alzheimer’s and a young child who would benefit from gaining an understanding of unusual behaviors their loved one may have, is eligible to receive one FREE storybook.

To receive the storybook please fill out order form by clicking here.  The reading guides can be downloaded by clicking here.

Alzheimer's
disease is rapidly growing in the United States.  According to the 2020 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures Report, one in three seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. When a family member has Alzheimer’s, everyone in that family is affected, including children.

Montana State University Extension has developed this storybook program with the goal to increase awareness and knowledge about Alzheimer’s disease.  We want to provide supportive resources to parents in Montana.
